Shoujo Inuyasha
With all the trappings of the genre. Sesshoumaru's long, bishounen hair would be in some intricate style (Inuyasha's and Naraku's hairstyles would be similar). Inuyasha would look slender when clothed but built like a brick whenever he takes his shirt off. Kagome's girlfriends would play a bigger role when she's back in our time. Miroku would be more bishounen, too and built like a real studboy when his chest is exposed. Sango and Kagome would compete for Inuyasha. In fact, they'd be more concerned with his feelings for them (or the other guys' feelings for them) than saving the world, until Sango's tragedy is needed for melodrama, or it's time for Kagome to reaffirm her dedication to her companions and saving their world. Sesshoumaru, Kouga, Miroku, Inuyasha and every other guy in the series would be falling all over themselves to win Kagome's affections (but in a wistful, romantic sort of a way, not the "you're mine" sort of approach Kouga uses). Naraku might be the only exception but for Kagome's relationship to Kikyou, whom he wants. Kikyou would be cast in an even more tragic light and would spend her dying moments making a pretty speech and crying with her head in Kagome's lap. She would be required to say something about how she wishes she was as noble/kind/brave as Kagome, how happy she is to finally be released to her eternal rest, and give her official blessing to the Kagome/Inuyasha pairing, which she'll be required to say was fate/destiny/meant to be. Kagome will cry and tell Kikyou how noble/brave/kind/inspirational she was, then sob on Kikyou's hair after she's finally dead. Also Myouga would be some cute animal rather than a flea.

CLAMP Inuyasha
Everybody's really skinny, and all the guys have WIDE shoulders. Eyes take up approximately 2/3 of the face. Legs on any female under the age of 25 (even the 17+ girls) are thin and shapeless. Oh wait. That's already the case in Inuyasha, isn't it? And any "wise woman" would be less than five feet tall, albino or blind, and have hair from here to Cleveland. (Kaede's already under 5 feet tall and half blind.)

DBIY: Dragonball Inuyasha
Everybody goes into training whenever a new baddie shows up. All the guys have ENORMOUS muscles, even Shippou, and all the youkai guys have spiky hair that doesn't grow, except for Inuyasha because he's a halfblood. In order to fight Naraku, Inuyasha goes into intense training to acheive a form known as "Super Youkai", which turns his hair a different color and makes it really stand on end. He would insist upon being called "Son Inuyasha".

Sailor Inuyasha (Sailor Moon)
New bad guy per episode. Each episode ends with the good guys transforming in a flurry of sparkles, then posing, while the baddies wait paitiently and in awe/terror while they're doing this. The power of love is affirmed, roll credits. Inuyasha wears his hair in funky buns with tails down to the ground. Just kidding. Miroku's "disguise" is a cape and Lone Ranger-style mask and he uses his monk's staff as a weapon. They call him Tuxedo Staff.

Inuyasha Muyo (Tenchi Muyo)
Every girl in the show vies for Inuyasha's attention, insisting he's "theirs". Kaede plays the role of Kaede-chan, genius Miko who's actually 20 thousand years old. Kirara is Kirara-Ohki, who can turn into Sango's (Sangoko's) spaceship. Kagome as Princess Ayeka, Shippou as Sasami-kun. Sesshoumaru as Kagato.

Youkai Bebop (Cowboy Bebop)
Inuyasha Speigel is a bounty hunter with his trusty friend and sidekick Miroku Black, a weathered ex-cop who also handles chef duties. The role of Ein would naturally be played by Shippou, while Kagome would be Kagome Valentine. The part of Edward would be played by Rin on double espresso.

Neon Genesis Inuyasha (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
The good guys suit up in Eva to do battle with destructive creatures sent by Naraku. Inuyasha is reluctant and spends much of his time whining about how reluctant and used he is and cursing Sesshoumaru while trying win his approval by fighting in the Eva. He lives with partygirl Yura of the Beer, and Shippou-Pou lives in a refrigerator in their kitchen. Kikyou Ayanami gets killed, then replaced by her own clones. She spends a lot of time in angstful musings that make very little sense to anyone but her. Sango Langley spends all her time berating and insulting Inu Yasha and claiming she's a better pilot. Kagura Akagi pines for Sesshomaru who's more interested in Kikyou because she's a clone of his dead wife, and Miroku Kaji returns from Germany to resume his affair with old flame Yura.

Inuflowne (The Vision of Escaflowne)
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru actually have WINGS! Inuyasha's red shirt always reappears intact on his body no matter how torn up or destroyed it gets. Sesshoumaru originally serves the evil Naraku but turns coat and joins up with Inuyasha's group. Jaken likes to torch things most of the time but in the face of extreme trauma he turns into Rin. Shippou is Inuyasha's faithful Foxboy friend Shippourle who can't stand Kagomi. 98% of his dialog consists of "Inuyasha-samaaaaaaaaaa!" The chant for Inuflowne would be "O-SU-WA-AH-AARI!"(the Japanese for sit).

Rurouni Inuyasha (Rurouni Kenshin)
Inuyasha Battousai was once the most feared manslayer of the Meiji Revolution, but having gotten his fill of blood, he turned his back on the manslayer business, got a reversed blade sword and commenced wandering about Japan, protecting random people. Inuyasha as Kenshin, Shippou as Yahiko, Kagome as Karou, Sango as Misao, Miroku as Sanosuke (ok, it's a stretch), and Sesshoumaru as Aoshi.
